Adrian Chandran

Partner and Managing Director

Adrian is a Partner and Managing Director with CIEL Capital, where he has led treasury functions and financing activities for the CIEL Group since 2017. He oversees deal origination and execution, having financed the acquisitions of MTB Transit Solutions and FGL Precision Works during his tenure at Bank of Montreal.

Prior to CIEL, Adrian spent over 25 years in leverage financing at Canadian Schedule A banks, including Vice-President roles at Bank of Montreal and National Bank. At BMO, he led a specialty team that deployed over $1.5 billion in funding across five years, focusing on acquisitions, succession planning, and liquidity events.

Adrian holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Econometrics from the University of Toronto. He has served on multiple not-for-profit boards and was National Co-Chair of W.I.S.E. (Women in Supported Environment) at Bank of Montreal. He volunteers as a hockey and baseball coach, produces musicals, and plays drums and tuba.
