David is the Founder and Managing Partner of CIEL Capital, where he has overseen investing activities and day-to-day operations since founding the firm in 2012. He has led all CIEL acquisitions and manages the firm's complete portfolio of investments.

Prior to founding CIEL, David worked in investment banking with Sawaya Segalas, a leading consumer products boutique investment bank in New York, executing financings, private company acquisitions, corporate carve-outs, and private equity transactions. He previously worked with a leading middle-market private equity firm in Toronto and began his career with KPMG in Toronto.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Applied Mathematics from Davidson College and is a CFA Charterholder.
