Wayne Albo

Chairman

Wayne is Chairman of CIEL Capital, where he has provided strategic oversight since 2013. He brings nearly five decades of corporate finance expertise, having been involved in more than 400 successful transactions across mergers and acquisitions, financial restructurings, and business valuations since 1975.

Wayne's career spans leadership roles he founded or co-founded, including Campbell Valuation Group (1976), Calcap Corporate Finance (1987), and CCC Investment Banking (2007). His transaction experience covers manufacturing, real estate, retail, communications, food processing, mining, and power utilities sectors.

Wayne holds a degree from the University of Manitoba and is a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, ranking first in Canada on both qualifying examinations. He is lead author of "The Purchase and Sale of Privately Held Businesses" and served eight years on the Accounting Standards Oversight Committee of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. He lectures on business valuations and M&A, and serves as an expert witness in these matters.
